Factory Accreditation
Our regular stock of unisex blanks are supplied by Next Level. Their factories abide and/or are certified with the following:
- Global Recycled Standards (GRS)

- Partners with Better Work, a collaborative initiative between the United Nations' International Labor Organization (ILO) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to respect labor rights for workers.
Sustainability
We use home-compostable, zero-waste Hero mailers or recyclable cardboard envelopes for all our orders.
We print all our tees to order, which drastically reduces textile waste (we have virtually no 'wasted' inventory).
We do not source any of our blanks from overseas. Overseas shipping is a massive contributor of CO2 emissions in the textile industry.
We are also a part of Shopify Planet program, where a portion of revenue from every sale goes towards funding innovative carbon-removal projects around the world. We are involved in soil and reforestation projects. Read more here.
Thank you for supporting responsible inventory practices. Thank you for supporting Canadian craft and design!

Frequently asked questions
When will I get my order?
It can take us 5-12 days to get a tee pulled, printed, and packaged.
This is because we hand print all of our tees and make all of our items to order.
Typically, we work on 1-2 print lists a week, which means we compile all the orders over a certain time period and get them printed and out the door.
Our processing time also factors in time for supplier delays (waiting on blanks that we have run out of in the studio) or minor equipment damage (such as a tear on a silkscreen).
If we ever experience a significant delay on an order, one of us (probably Monica!) will reach out to you to explain the issue and problem solve.
In any circumstance, we do our very best to keep production running smoothly so that we can get your order out to you in a reasonable time frame!
We very much appreciate your patience and for choosing small-scale and hand printed!
Where are your products manufactured?
Our Made In Canada tees are milled, cut and sewn in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). They are crafted by Redwood Classics Apparel(unisex) and Jerico (women's).
Our Signature Line tees are manufactured in California (Bella and Canvas brand) and South America (Next Level brand). Both of our Signature Line brands have multiple factory certifications for socially and environmentally responsible production. You can read more here.
How are Signature tees and Made In Canada Tees different?
Our Signature Lightweight CVC tees are a cotton/recycled poly blend with a fabric weight of 145 gsm (4.3 oz/yd²).
The Made in Canada midweight tees are 100% combed cotton jersey with a slightly heavier weight of 300 gsm (9 oz/yd²).
Both styles are a CLASSIC CUT and have a TRUE TO SIZE FIT.
The precise measures are slightly different. Please refer to the size charts and sizing tips for each style to get your preferred fit!

What makes your tees better?
We are always happy to be transparent about our pricing and about what makes our tees better than the $15 alternatives.
- Better fabrics and better made garments last longer, period. Cheap fabrics stretch out very quickly and don't bounce back after washing. They can tear and thin out. We choose only to use premium quality fabrics and cuts that don't pill or stretch out, so that you get what you pay for in terms of durability and longevity (5-10+ years of wear - we're on year 8 with ours!)
- We only use best-in-class inks. Cheap inks crack and peel over time. We use only use the highest quality water-based inks (Permaset) so the prints won't ever peel or crack like most cheaper plasitols or heat transfers. These also don't contain toxic VOCs or any plastic components.
- We make sure to source our tees from companies with environmental and social certifications so there is fairness and less ecological impact when it comes to manufacturing; our made in Canada tees are the highest price point simply b/c there is no externalizing costs at any point in the chain.
- Lastly, we design and hand print every tee as well in house as a family-operated and artist-run business. Thus we also have overhead as a studio rather than just having a warehouse with stock.
