If you take a look at Nick’s glass art, you’ll see these designs on his vessels and vases. We liked them so much we wanted them on shirts too.
Like our Cascading Leaves and Maple Leaf designs, this image is based on one of Nick’s original photographs. For the "leaves" designs, Nick first takes macro photos of different types of leaves, capturing their delicate lines and veins. Then these images are digitally edited to enhance the contrast and create transparencies, which are exposed onto the silkscreens. Next, they're handprinted onto the shirt fabric. In the case of "The Reader" design, things took a bit of a whimsical turn as we played around with superimposing the reading man, taken from another original photograph, into the leaf image.
This tee has a loose fit. If you like your tee roomy, grab your usual size. If a slightly closer fit and shorter sleeves are more your style, go a size down! The model in the picture is 5"3 and a size 10, and is wearing a size small tee in the pic.

All of our tees are hand printed in our home studio in Sackville, New Brunswick on a four screen printing press. We use only eco-friendly, water-based inks for our designs, which tends to give our graphics a slightly transparent, vintage feel.
