I press-dry real maple leaves and then sandblast them (very carefully) so that the veins and patterns from the leaf emerge more clearly. I take macro-photos to capture the detail as much as possible, and then digitally edit them to enhance the contrast. From these, I create transparencies that I can expose onto a silk screen. Then I can print the image onto the shirt fabric.
